B. About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Power Distribution Smart Meter Data Analytics Expert to support smart metering and smart grid initiatives for distribution utilities. The role involves handling end-to-end smart meter data analytics within the AMI ecosystem, including analysis of consumption and interval data, load profiling, feeder/DT-level energy balancing, loss and revenue analysis, tamper and event analytics, and development of MIS dashboards and reports. The expert will support integration of smart meter data from HES/MDM systems with billing, CIS, SCADA, DMS, and other utility IT platforms, ensure data quality and compliance with RDSS technical standards, and assist in troubleshooting data and communication issues. The role also requires coordination with DISCOM field teams, IT teams, and vendors, along with on-ground support and monitoring, to enable effective utilization of smart meter data for operational efficiency, smart grid management, and improved commercial performance of power distribution utilities.

C. Detailed expectations from the role:

• Analyze and utilize smart meter data (HES/MDM) for consumption analysis, load profiling, feeder/DT-level energy balancing, loss identification, and revenue improvement for distribution utilities.
• Support integration of smart meter data with billing, CIS, SCADA, DMS, and other utility IT systems, ensuring data accuracy, availability, and compliance with RDSS technical standards.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and analytical outputs for utility operations, commercial performance monitoring, and management review.
• Identify, analyze, and support resolution of data quality issues, communication failures, tamper events, and anomalies through coordination with field teams, IT teams, and vendors.
• Provide technical and analytical support during project implementation, reviews, and audits, including coordination with DISCOM stakeholders and ensuring effective utilization of smart meter and smart grid data.

D. Required skill set

• Experience in the power distribution sector
• Minimum 2 years specialization in Smart meter and various aspects of Smart meter data analytics Project Management.
• Experience in Energy Meters Data in power Sector

E. Education and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in the power distribution sector.
• Degree in Electrical / IT engineering or any relevant field (any engineering degree).
