J ob Description
Corporate Foresight
a. Develop comprehensive points of view on emerging and disruptive technologies, identifying potential use cases for consideration by business teams.
b. Influence senior leadership's strategic direction regarding the adoption of new, disruptive technologies, ensuring alignment with the organization's overall strategy.
c. Lead the development of POCs for identified use cases in collaboration with business teams, and drive successful initiatives to scale-up, including developing implementation plans and quantifying outcomes and learnings.
Product Management and Development (Start-up Sandbox Initiative):
a. Sandbox Framework Management:
Define and manage the sandbox framework, ensuring a structured environment for startups to test and integrate their solutions with Tata Communications' early-stage products.
Establish clear evaluation criteria and success metrics for sandbox participants, facilitating objective assessment of technology and business potential.
Pilot Opportunity Identification and Execution:
Collaborate with internal technology and business teams to identify and prioritize pilot opportunities within the sandbox.
Oversee the execution of pilot projects, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with product development roadmaps.
Startup Collaboration and Integration:
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between startups and internal teams, addressing technical and business challenges.
Guide startups through the integration process, ensuring alignment with product specifications and standards, and that the startup is enabled to succeed.
Product Feedback and Iteration:
Collect and analyze feedback from sandbox participants and internal stakeholders to inform product development and iteration.
Drive continuous improvement of the sandbox framework and processes based on learnings from pilot projects.
Business case creation
a. Drive creation of business case : Financial modelling of business cases, Play challenger role at the time of business creation by reviewing and validating business case assumption on market size, growth, cost ramp up, overhead absorption, time to implement etc. Further review actuals performance against approved business case and drive corrective actions to mitigate variances.
Business Strategy
b. Provide advisory support to senior management, business leaders and functions
c. Critically analyse business scenarios and create viewpoints to facilitate business decisions
d. Focus on implementation and control as well as strategy development
e. Ensure smooth execution of qualified corporate strategy projects, including scoping discussions and assigning resources, while juggling between both operational/tactical and strategic activities
f. Actively contribute to defining the direction of new products, processes, standards, or operational plans based upon business strategy, with a significant mid-term impact on business unit overall results
g. For whitespaces, articulating the market problems, identifying the opportunity for Tata Comm., validating and stress-testing the revenue growth and profitability assumptions

2. Structured problem solving - Given the dynamic environment we operate in, you would be expected to work through seemingly unstructured situations, identify the key business priorities and take the initiative to apply your creative problem skills
3. Functional knowledge - You would be expected to apply working-level knowledge across all functions, namely, finance, marketing, product, sales, legal and other support functions
4. Communication skills - Communicating problems and ideas in a structured and succinct manner, both in spoken and written English, for the purpose of inter-personal communication, presentations and business writing is a must have
5. Team player - We strongly believe that individual success lies in the success of the team. To that end, we work as a non-hierarchical team and often in groups, supporting one another within the function and cross-functionally. We are keen to add another team player to the team.
6. Inter-personal skills - Your job would entail building professional relationships, putting together ad-hoc teams, and often resolving conflicts
7. Ability to effectively lead and guide team
路 MBA with an engineering background having good exposure to technology with a knack for problem solving
路 Prior experience in Product management or consulting/strategy roles is not a must but is a value add
