Manager - Information Technology

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) with deep expertise in Linux administration, AWS and Kubernetes. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will architect, automate, and support scalable, secure, and high-performance platform solutions. You will play a critical role in modernizing infrastructure, enabling DevOps practices, and ensuring operational excellence across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and optimize Linux-based systems ensuring performance, security, and scalability.

Architect and automate IT infrastructure using Ansible, Docker, and other DevOps tools.

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters in AWS and Azure environments.

Drive infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices to ensure consistency, repeatability, and auditability.

Collaborate with developers, SREs, and security teams to support application deployment and operations.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system observability and uptime.

Act as a subject matter expert for Kubernetes orchestration, cloud operations, and automation pipelines.

Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong Linux Administration experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.) in production environments.

Expertise in Kubernetes architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting.

Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure and services (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, etc.).

Proven experience with IT Infrastructure planning and operational support.

Proficient in Docker for containerization and microservices deployments.

Hands-on experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.

Working knowledge of Azure cloud services and integration patterns.

Optional / Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with GitHub for version control and GitOps practices.

Understanding of network infrastructure (DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing).

Exposure to DevOps methodologies, tools, and CI/CD pipelines.

Broader understanding of cloud computing trends, hybrid cloud strategies, and security best practices.
