Job Description

Role Summary


The Infrastructure Operations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of the organization’s IT infrastructure operations. This role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of on-premises and cloud environments. The manager will oversee multiple specialized teams, drive operational excellence through ITSM best practices, and ensure that infrastructure supports current and future business needs.

Leadership & People Management


Lead and mentor cross-functional infrastructure teams:


Service Desk / NOC Monitoring


Server & Azure Cloud Team


Network & Telecom


Information Security Monitoring


Storage & Backup


Infrastructure Leads


ITSM Engineer(s)


Set clear objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics for all team members.


Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer focus.


Operational Management


Ensure 24/7 availability and proactive monitoring of critical IT systems and services.


Oversee incident, problem, change, and release management processes in line with ITIL/ITSM best practices.


Manage capacity planning, patching, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.


Maintain and regularly test disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity plans.


Technology & Project Oversight


Guide infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization for on-prem and Azure cloud environments.


Work closely with architecture and engineering teams for new implementations or major upgrades.


Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve resilience, performance, and cost efficiency.


Security & Compliance


Partner with InfoSec teams to monitor and respond to security events.


Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.) and internal policies.


Drive regular audits, vulnerability management, and risk assessments.


Financial & Vendor Management


Manage infrastructure OPEX/CAPEX budgets, forecasting, and cost optimization.


Negotiate and oversee contracts with hardware, software, cloud, and telecom vendors.


Track SLAs and service delivery from third-party providers.


Required Qualifications & Skills


Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).


10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.


Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, Windows/Linux server environments, enterprise networking, and IT security practices.


Hands-on understanding of ITSM frameworks (ITIL certification preferred).


Experience managing 24x7 operations, NOC/SOC, and mission-critical systems.


Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.


Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams across multiple disciplines.
