Manager HSEQ

Essar Constructions India Limited (ECIL) is the Indian arm of Essar Projects, which focusses on India and the Sub-continent. It also has a multidisciplinary skilled and experienced Engineering & PMC division which provides a comprehensive array of value added technical engineering services, in a structured manner, across diverse sectors. It is fully geared to service global clients by providing end-to-end engineering solutions from feasibility studies and scope documents to design conceptualization, FEED, detailed design, PMC, field engineering, commissioning and start up assistance and also debottlenecking for efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

Integrated Management System (IMS) Implementation

• Develop, Implement and maintain IMS (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001) across all project sites and corporate offices.
• Develop QMS and HSEMS documentation, including Manuals, Procedures, and Control Formats.
• Conduct IMS internal audits across Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Steel, and Power sector projects.
• Liaise with certification bodies for conducting external IMS audits and ensuring compliance.

Project & Process Quality Assurance

• Develop and Implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) and HSE Plans based on client specifications.
• Develop Method Statements, ITPs/QAPs, SOPs, and Work-Specific Quality Control Plans.
• Coordinate and conduct inspections at supplier/manufacturer locations per ITP/QAP.
• Support procurement and engineering functions in achieving Quality and HSE compliance

Monitoring & Reporting

• Prepare and submit Quality & HSE MIS reports monthly.
• Maintain and update EHS statistics for all project business units.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for nonconformities from audits and inspections.

Training & Development

• Prepare HSEQ Induction & Training materials (PPTs, Calendar, Objectives).
• Conduct IMS Awareness and Internal Audit training sessions for staff.
• Support recruitment and on boarding of new HSEQ personnel at project site

Strategic Planning

• Develop Annual Business Plans, HSEQ Objectives, and HSE Training Calendars.
• Attend pre-bid and kick-off meetings to develop and submit HSEQ deliverables.
• Review tender documents and contribute to bid-stage planning for HSEQ requirements

Qualifications

Engineering Graduate

Advance diploma in industrial safety recognised by Labour institute.

Lead Auditor for HSE & Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 &ISO 45001)
