Job Description

Job Purpose:


This role is responsible to design, administrate, and governance of compensation programs by delivering accurate analysis, market insights and operational execution. The role ensures pay decisions are consistent, market-aligned, and compliant with internal policies and statutory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


a) Compensation Administration & Execution:


  • Support the administration of compensation programs including salary structures, pay ranges, promotions and variable pay.
  • Execute annual and off-cycle compensation activities such as merit increases and internal movements.
  • Validate compensation proposals to ensure adherence to policy, pay ranges, and approval thresholds.


b) Market Benchmarking & Analysis:


  • Participate in compensation surveys and maintain market pricing data.
  • Conduct benchmarking and pay comparisons for roles across levels and functions.
  • Prepare pay positioning analysis and cost impact calculations for hiring, promotions and retention cases.
  • Support pay equity, compression, and anomaly analysis.


c) Stakeholder & HRBP Support:


  • Partner with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition to provide compensation inputs for internal movements.
  • Respond to compensation-related queries from HR with data-backed recommendations.
  • Support retention and counter-offer cases with structured analysis.


d) Job Evaluation & Job Architecture Support:


  • Assist in job evaluation and role leveling exercises using the organizations job evaluation framework.
  • Ensure consistency between job level, role scope, and compensation outcomes.
  • Maintain job and compensation documentation and audit trails.


e) Systems, Data & Reporting:


  • Maintain accurate compensation data in HR systems
  • Generate standard and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making, audits, and finance coordination.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation related to compensation spend.


f) Policy & Governance Support:


  • Support the development and maintenance of compensation policies, guidelines, and SOPs.
  • Ensure compensation processes are audit-ready and well-documented.
  • Flag deviations and risks related to pay governance.


Job Requirements:


  • MBA HR / MSW / MHRM
  • 4 years of experience in Compensation or Total Rewards with strong hands-on compensation exposure from Banking / Financial Services.
  • Experience supporting salary reviews and internal movement compensation
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Good understanding of compensation principles, market practices, and internal equity
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Attention to detail and data accuracy

  • Clear written and verbal communication
