Job Description
1. Design & Engineering Leadership
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: Lead design from concept to production for cooling (radiators), exhaust (mufflers/emissions), air intake, and structural components (enclosures/baseframes).
- Technical Standards: Champion DFM/DFA practices and approve all engineering drawings, material selections, and tolerance stacks.
- Validation: Oversee FEA and CFD simulations for structural integrity and thermal optimization.
2. Application & Strategy
- Market Alignment: Translate customer needs into technical specifications for global genset platforms.
- Product Optimization: Balance cost, quality, and reliability across diverse operating environments.
- Strategic Planning: Manage departmental budgets, KPIs, resource allocation, and project timelines.
3. Team & Collaboration
- People Management: Mentor a team of design engineers and foster a culture of innovation.
- Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Electrical, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Compliance & Vendors: Ensure adherence to international standards (ISO, CE, UL ) and manage external prototyping/testing vendors.

Software
Expert-level SolidWorks/Creo and FEA/CFD simulation tools.
Core Skills
