Purpose of the role

The role exists to provide work direction and support for a team that directly interact with the Global Emerging Market (GEMS) Region. Responsibilities require functional expertise in finance and accounting, internal controls, strong business acumen and communication skills, and ability to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in managing the complete P&L.

Role Requirements

70% of Time: Curation and Management of Finance Team & Partnership

Client Service Management

Manage team that owns Financial forecasting, reporting & Peak support for the GEMS business unit,

Point of contact for Business Finance teams & some key stakeholders for all in-scope activities. Partner with Heads of finance in each cluster to deliver required results,

Actively develop team to build best-in-class, trusted partnerships with finance and business stakeholders,

Has end-to-end process knowledge Responsible for compliance and internal controls.

Oversee and accountable for all Team deliverables and responsibilities (Submission of Financial Forecast, PEAK support, Reporting & Analysis, ad-hoc stakeholder support) with resolution of any issues in a timely manner and always ensuring compliance with the relevant internal controls,

Deliver on established service level targets and metrics

Planning and execution of business continuity

Create an environment of continuous improvement to simplify or automate work

Provides work direction and support to team; establishes daily priorities; monitors progress against team goals

Work/Collaborate on Site wide initiatives

20% of Time: Employee Development

Build and develop a team of integrated Finance Leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

Performance Management for Team members (Objective setting, PA, Mid-year, IDP)

Build a strong team culture within Mumbai office

Cross training to always ensure adequate backup coverage for all activities

Recruiting new team members as per requirement

10% of Time: Continuous Improvement

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecasting accuracy and reporting efficiency.

Lead efforts to understand whats working, what isnt and lead plans to adjust approach on One Team culture

Experience or Skills and Educational qualification-

Full Time graduation from an accredited university (Mandatory)

Professional Certification: CA, ICWA, MBA

8+ years of related experience

Strong situational agility, comfort navigating ambiguity and thought leadership

Strong ability to lead, coach and develop a team

Strong knowledge and expertise in forecasting, reporting and analysis,

Business partnership, ability to effectively manage and navigate many stakeholders

Anticipates future customer needs and accelerates what is possible (Growth Mindset)

Organizational savvy can effectively navigate the organization

Commitment to leadership and personal development

Strong understanding of Top-line & Bottom-line planning and business process

Experience with SAP ERP or system proficiency (ability to get up to speed quickly)
