The Manager Expense Allocations will reside within the Corporate FP&A area of Guardian and oversee developing and maintaining the automated allocation of direct and indirect costs for planning and actuals. This position will gather, analyze, and determine the required data inputs and processes for the systems that perform automated allocation of costs. This person will lead up the “Future State of Allocations” initiative for 2025 and will need to have technical experience in the Oracle allocation module PCMCS, as well as driver-based allocations, and data load rules and mappings. This role will support Corporate Finance reporting in compliance with Statutory Insurance and act as corporate liaison with Business and Functional Areas key expense management personnel.

Candidate Responsibilities:

 

• We are looking for the 11-14 years of experience in FPNA (Financial Planning & Analysis) with Oracle PCMCS (Mandate)

• Work with the COE, General Ledger and IT teams to maintain system expense allocation design supporting Legal Entity, Business Area product line and department level reporting of pre and post allocated expenses for plan and actuals.

• Execute and manage monthly expense allocations and reconcile pre and post allocated expenses.

• Create and load expense allocation rates and other drivers based on financial data within and outside the accounting ledger.

• Work with key expense reporting personnel in Business and Functional Areas creating, reviewing, and supporting their direct and indirect allocated expenses to Business Areas.

• Support Business Areas fully allocated/absorbed allocation rate report to Legal Entities, product lines and charges to other Business Areas.

• Create standardized reporting of pre and post allocated expenses.

• Review and approve EDMCS master data maintenance requests especially pertaining to cost codes.

• Perform system allocation testing and GL system testing and/or upgrades as needed.

• Address and satisfy requests from PWC and MAR internal controls.

• Participate in Annual benchmark studies with AON.

• Support reconciling of intercompany balances for schedule Y, and allocating high salaried staff to legal entities for schedule G.

• Support Annual Statement Insurance Exhibit reporting general expenses and taxes excluding FIT.
