Job Description

Position Summary

The Manager Erasmus & International Academic Projects is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and compliance management of Erasmus+ and other international academic collaboration projects. The role ensures that all activities adhere to regulatory institutions, institutional policies, and funding agency guidelines, while supporting faculty and student mobility, capacity building, and global partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Implementation

Coordinate end-to-end implementation of Erasmus+ projects (e.g., International Credit Mobility, Capacity-Building in Higher Education, Erasmus Mundus activities) related schemes. Develop project timelines, activity plans, and deliverables and ensure timely completion. Coordinate submission of project proposals, amendments, and required documentation to funding and international agencies.

Regulatory & Institutional Compliance

Ensure all international collaborations, MoUs, and academic activities comply with institutional statutes and regulations on academic collaborations and internationalisation. Liaise with university authorities to obtain statutory approvals and ensure proper documentation and disclosure.

Financial & Administrative Oversight

Manage project budgets, expenditure tracking, and financial documentation in line with funding rules and university finance procedures. Assist in audits, utilization certificates, and financial reporting.

Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the nodal contact for Erasmus funding agencies, partner universities, and internal departments. Facilitate coordination among faculty coordinators, students, administration, and finance offices.


Student & Faculty Mobility Support

Coordinate selection, documentation, learning agreements, credit recognition, and mobility logistics for students and staff. Organise orientations and dissemination activities related to Erasmus opportunities.

Monitoring & Reporting

Track project outputs, outcomes, and KPIs. Prepare periodic academic, technical, and impact reports for university leadership and funding agencies.

Capacity Building & Institutional Development

Organise institutional workshops, seminars, and training on international project management, mobility rules, and academic collaboration best practices. Advise institutional leadership on strategic opportunities for international partnerships and Erasmus/EU funding.


Qualifications & Experience

Masters degree in Management, International Relations, Education, Social Sciences, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in international projects, higher education administration, or externally funded academic programmes. Prior experience with Erasmus+ or other international funding programmes are strongly preferred. Familiarity with Indian regulations and university governance systems.


Skills & Competencies

Strong project coordination and documentation skills. Working knowledge of financial and compliance procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work with multicultural and multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in MS Office and basic project management tools


Travel requirements

Full-time role with occasional travel (domestic/international) for project coordination and partner engagement.
