Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

Lead the design and development of embedded and connected software for medical device reprocessing systems.
Define robust system architectures and technical specifications in collaboration with global engineering and product teams.
Provide hands-on technical guidance through design reviews, troubleshooting, and adherence to engineering best practices.
Ensure product development aligns with performance, safety, reliability, cybersecurity, and regulatory expectations.

Team & People Leadership:

Manage and mentor software and verification engineering teams.
Drive hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance development, and succession planning initiatives.
Build a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and high-trust collaboration.
Foster strong team engagement and alignment with broader organizational objectives.

Execution & Delivery:

Drive delivery of project milestones using Agile methodologies and engineering excellence frameworks.
Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful execution.
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate technical and program risks.
Provide transparent reporting on program status, challenges, and strategic opportunities.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with product management, systems engineering, quality, manufacturing, and global R&D teams to achieve cross-functional outcomes.
Communicate technical direction, risks, and program progress to senior leadership.
Ensure adherence to quality systems, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements applicable to medical device development.
Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and automation frameworks.

Skills Required:

Extensive experience in Embedded C++ development for real-time systems.
Strong expertise in Embedded Linux environments and device-level software architecture.
Experience working with RTOS platforms such as VxWorks and SOS/POS.
Deep understanding of microcontroller-based systems and low-level hardware-software integration.
Proven experience in engineering management and leading large technical teams.
Strong people management skills including performance appraisal, mentoring, and talent development.
Experience delivering embedded solutions within regulated environments such as Medical Devices.
Strong knowledge of software lifecycle processes, quality standards, and compliance frameworks.
Ability to drive Agile execution and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
