"Only Whats Needed (OWN) is people-powered food platform by Revant Himatsingka (Food Pharmer) that builds products with the people of India. We want to build trust in packaged food by building with people, making key decisions public, and keeping ourselves open to public scrutiny by sharing comprehensive test reports by competent third party labs.

About the Role:

This is not a typical operations job.

At Only Whats Needed, every order represents trust.

Someone has read the label, believed the science, and chosen a product that promises honesty.

Your job is to make sure that trust never breaks.

If a customer orders from our website, Amazon, or any marketplace, the experience should be simple, accurate, and dependable.

Behind that simplicity is a lot of operational discipline.

That discipline will sit with you.

What You Will Own

You will run the entire e-commerce operations backbone of the brand.

This includes:

Order & Fulfilment Operations

• Ensure smooth order flow across website, marketplaces, and partners
• Coordinate with 3PL warehouses and logistics partners
• Maintain strong control over dispatch timelines, shipping accuracy, and delivery SLAs
• Resolve operational issues before they become customer complaints

Inventory Discipline

• Maintain accurate inventory across D2C website, marketplaces, and warehouses
• Prevent stockouts, overselling, and listing errors
• Work closely with supply chain to ensure product availability matches demand

Platform Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations across platforms
• Ensure listings, pricing, bundles, and offers are accurate
• Monitor platform performance, operational metrics, and fulfilment health

Customer Experience Recovery

• Investigate failed deliveries, returns, and complaints
• Work with customer experience team to ensure fast resolution
• Fix root causes rather than repeatedly firefighting

Process Building

• Create SOPs that make operations repeatable and scalable
• Introduce systems and automation wherever possible
• Reduce dependency on manual processes

Data & Performance Tracking

Track and improve metrics such as:

• Order fulfilment time
• Return rates
• Dispatch accuracy
• Logistics performance
• Customer complaints related to operations

• 58+ years of experience in e-commerce operations / D2C operations
• Experience working with 3PL warehouses and logistics partners
• Highly organized and process-driven
• Comfortable working in fast moving startup environments
• Strong ownership mindset
