Job Title Lead: Vendor Development

Reporting To: Functional Head – Supply Chain Management; Administrative:  Head – Supply Chain Management

Responsibilities:

Critical Routine

1. Identify and qualify vendors as per project requirements

2. Vendor Visits and reports

3. Maintaining sufficient vendor pool for project execution.

4. SOP Implementation

1. Lead a team of executives to manage complete program for Vendor Development activities.

2. Identifying and evaluating the vendors for various supply items and services categories for CAPEX and OPEX requirements.

3. To arrive at the world class vendors on various parameters such price, quality, services, delivery etc.

4. Follow the standard benchmarks set for the vendor evaluation process, to include them in group’s approved vendor list.

5. Visits to be arranged for vendor evaluation and relationship based on company requirements.

6. Continually monitoring market trends on capital investment, ordering flow of market suppliers and periodically evaluation of vendor master accordingly.

7. Follow standard processes to assess the performance of approved vendors by coordinating with internal departments such as Technical, Procurement, Quality, Project & Finance.

8. To evaluate ongoing vendor management programs and identify ways to improve the process

9. To identify vendors which are under-performing and initiate their developmental plans

10. To develop procedures for blacklisting / holiday listing of vendor based on performance ratings

Total Experience: 12 – 18 years

Relevant Experience: Preferred in this role 10 Years- with similar field in Supply Chain Management / Vendor Management

Qualification: B Tech Mechanical (Masters in Material Management, PGD in Vendor Development and Financial Management will be added advantage)

1. Experience in utilizing measurement tools and implementing vendor management office practices.

2. Conversant with the Basic KYC, Advanced KYC, Vendor Due Diligence, and pre-ordering checks and with SAP ARIBA and MS Office
