Job Description

The QHSE Manager(Head) will be responsible for leading the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems and ensuring their alignment with industry standards such as ISO:9001:2015, ISO:17020:2012, and NABCB/EIC requirements. He will empower the organization through effective quality management strategies, ensuring compliance, improving operational resilience, transferring skills, and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.


Experience from Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) Industry is mandatory


Job Description :

I. Leadership and Strategic Management

  • Use expertise in quality management systems (QMS) to guide and enhance organizational capabilities and competence.
  • Drive the development and implementation of effective QMS policies, procedures, and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Act as a liaison for obtaining quality management updates and ensuring integration into operational processes.
  • Develop internal awareness and competency by regularly transferring skills to staff in QA and other related departments.

II. Planning, Development, and Implementation

  • Map organizational strengths and weaknesses regarding QMS and implement strategies to address critical gaps.
  • Facilitate the preparation and continual review of QMS documents, including Quality Manuals, SOPs, Quality Procedure Manuals, and Format Manuals.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain systems complying with ISO:9001:2015, ISO:17020:2012, and NABCB/EIC standards.
  • Coordinate operational planning across divisions to ensure alignment with quality policies and objectives, while adhering to budgetary and regulatory requirements.

III. Staff Development and Capability Building

  • Train and mentor the Quality Assurance (QA) Department staff on QMS document preparation, operations management, and cost-effective performance.
  • Empower inspection staff with training programs emphasizing impartiality and adherence to ISO:17020:2012 standards.
  • Develop and execute training programs for enhancing staff competencies in inspections, audits, corrective actions, and reporting.

IV. External and Internal Audits

  • Coordinate for successful execution of external audits by regulatory or certification bodies.
  • Conduct internal QMS audits periodically across the Head Office and branches to ensure compliance with ISO:9001:2015, ISO:17020:2012 requirements.
  • Organize and oversee annual Management Review Meetings (MRM) as a part of system effectiveness monitoring.

V. Operational Quality Assurance

  • Monitor and ensure quality reporting and certification processes comply with ISO:17020:2012 standards and customer/regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee inspection contracts to address and resolve terms and conditions comprehensively before execution.
  • Establish mechanisms for reviewing, implementing, and tracking corrective actions resulting from internal/external audits.

VI. Continuous Improvement and Problem Solving

  • Investigate non-conformities, complaints, and audit appeals using root cause analysis tools and implement effective corrective measures.
  • Facilitate proactive sourcing of competent manpower and financial resources for the QA Department to maintain QMS excellence.

VII. Expansion and Scope Development

  • Provide advice and guidance for the expansion of NABCB scope due to evolving business activities.
  • Supervise the impartial and independent execution of inspection activities in adherence to documented procedures.

VIII. HSE

  • Oversee and organise the comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) functions across PAN India, ensuring the implementation and adherence to robust policies and procedures.


  • Qualification : Bachelors or masters degree in quality management, Engineering, or related field. Additional certifications in ISO:9001:2015, ISO:17020:2012, or NABCB accreditation will be advantageous.


  • Experience : Minimum 15 years of experience in quality management systems, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the TIC industry.
