Manager - Commercial

1. Order Management & Customer Coordination

• Manage end‑to‑end order processing from enquiry to shipment.
• Coordinate with buyers, merchandisers, and production teams for order confirmations, amendments, and delivery schedules.
• Review and validate tech packs, BOM, consumption sheets, and costing inputs.
• Monitor T&A adherence and proactively highlight risks.

2. Costing & Profitability

• Prepare accurate pre‑costing and post‑costing for all knit garments.
• Analyse fabric consumption, trims, CM (cut‑make) cost, and overhead allocations.
• Recommend pricing strategies to improve margins and business profitability.
• Ensure compliance with commercial policies and cost approval workflows.

3. Commercial Operations & Documentation

• Oversee contract preparation, purchase orders, sales orders, and invoicing.
• Ensure adherence to statutory and export documentation requirements (if applicable).
• Manage LC documents, packing lists, commercial invoices, and buyer documentation.
• Handle claims, debit notes, credit notes, and reconciliation activities with buyers and vendors.

4. Production & Supply Chain Coordination

• Collaborate with planning, knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, and finishing teams to ensure timely production.
• Monitor material readiness and coordinate with procurement for trims, accessories, and fabrics.
• Track production milestones and shipment readiness.
• Resolve commercial bottlenecks affecting production timelines.

5. Cost Control & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to optimize cost in raw materials, trims, transport, and packaging.
• Suggest process improvements in commercial workflows, documentation, and reporting.
• Implement best practices for commercial governance and data accuracy.

6. Compliance, Audit & Governance

• Ensure 100% compliance with policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
• Maintain contract, order, and commercial documentation as per internal audit norms.
• Ensure adherence to tax, GST, export-import, and local statutory rules (as applicable).

7. Team Management & Stakeholder Engagement

• Lead and mentor commercial executives/officers in daily tasks and development.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination with merchandising, operations, finance, and logistics.
• Represent the commercial team in internal reviews, customer meetings, and audits.
