Manager / Deputy Manager AC BoP Procurement & Supply Chain (Solar, Wind & BESS)

Location: Ahmedabad

Experience: 812 years

Reporting to: GM AC BoP

Role Purpose

Responsible for procurement and supply chain management of AC Balance of Plant equipment and services for Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage projects. Ensures timely sourcing, logistics, inventory control, and vendor coordination to meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement

• Manage end-to-end procurement of AC BoP packages (transformers, switchgear, cables, panels, SCADA hardware, metering systems, etc.).
• Prepare bid evaluations, issue RFQs, and lead vendor negotiations.
• Finalize purchase orders, contracts, and agreements.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and grid requirements.

Supply Chain Planning

• Develop material requirement plans based on project milestones.
• Forecast procurement and delivery schedules.
• Track vendor manufacturing status and plan staged deliveries.

Vendor Management

• Monitor production timelines with OEMs.
• Maintain vendor performance scorecards.
• Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop backup strategies.

Logistics & Inventory

• Coordinate safe transport of heavy electrical equipment.
• Oversee storage, handling, and inventory systems.
• Supervise goods receipt and documentation.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work with engineering, QA/QC, project execution, civil, electrical, and commissioning teams.
• Align deliveries with site readiness and installation schedules.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain records in ERP/SAP/Oracle systems.
• Manage technical data sheets, test reports, and approvals.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and support grid coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 812 years of experience in procurement/supply chain of electrical equipment for Solar/Wind/BESS.
• EPC or IPP background preferred.
