Job Description:

Broadcom's VMware Cloud Foundation Division (VCF) is looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer Leader with a passion for building high quality applications using agile practices to join our Operations and Management team. In this role, you will be leading a development team of up to 10 highly talented engineers and will focus on building, testing, and supporting key management capabilities for the VCF product.

We are looking for a hands-on technical manager who is highly motivated, team oriented and has excellent organization and problem-solving skills.  The individual and team goal will be to develop and maintain high-quality software aligned with user needs and business objectives. This person is the out-of-box thinker and able to drive to results working across multiple teams across various geographies. The key success criteria is how to deliver results with influence and not always via direct control.

Work location for this position is in our Kalyani Vista -II, Bangalore, India office.

Responsibilities

• Lead an Agile team to translate business requirements into high quality, well-tested code.

• Participate in design and code reviews with engineers and tech leads

• Commit to delivering stories and tasks within the sprint.

• Guide to develop automated test cases to validate integrated or end-to-end functionality.

• Actively communicate and collaborate within the team, across functional boundaries and to management.

• Drive opportunities to increase efficiency, security, and product quality through best practices.

• Interact with support teams to handle customer issues.

• Deal with architectural solutions and break the requirements to deliver and effective solution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or global equivalent in a software related field

• 12+ years of experience in software development and minimum 5+ years experience in managing a complex/diverse team

• Extensive experience with Java and related frameworks

• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, software design patterns and distributed systems fundamentals

• Experience in Agile software development

• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git

• Ability to learn, apply, and integrate with various technologies

Desired Technical Skills & Experience

• Experience developing scalable systems with high availability

• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD
