Organization Overview:
Synchrony's Risk Team provides independent oversight of Synchrony’s risk-taking activities to ensure safety and soundness, meet regulatory and legal requirements, and manage risks to the risk-appetite of the Board. Risk is responsible for independently assessing, quantifying, and overseeing risks & providing effective challenge. Risk serves as Synchrony’s Second Line of Defense.
Overall, Risk Team oversees and manages the Risk Program to support the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues and challenges. Results are consistent with the respective strategic uses and complying with related overall risk, risk testing policies, standards, procedures as well as regulations. Our Risk organization consists of 4 pillars: Compliance, Credit & Financial Risk, Enterprise Risk and Operational Risk. Each of the pillars play a vital role in managing Risk and supports the business in anticipating and addressing risks, issues, and challenges.
Role Summary / Purpose:
In this role you will be responsible for systems configuration and operational support for Synchrony Financials’ Enterprise Risk Governance and Compliance platform eGRC SAI 360 (formerly known as BWIse) .As an Agile team member, you will review user stories, understand business requirement, configure solution and participate in all Agile rituals.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Configuration
Analyze business requirements and translate them into robust configurations or customizations within the eGRC platform (e.g., SAI360 BWise).
Develop forms, dashboards, workflows and automation scripts as needed.
Project & Delivery Management
Oversee day-to-day delivery and implementation of eGRC platform modules (e.g., SAI360 BWise) and enhancements.
Coordinate task assignments, progress tracking, and timely delivery of development/configuration during eGRC releases.
Resolve blockers and escalate issues to senior leadership as needed to maintain delivery timeline and quality.
Technical Oversight
Guide analysts in solution design, configuration, and technical problem-solving.
Ensure development and configurations adhere to architecture standards, coding best practices, and project requirements.
Review technical deliverables and documentation before release.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication
Work closely with business analysts, end users, product owners, and QA to understand requirements, clarify objectives, and facilitate smooth delivery.
Communicate project updates, risks, and timelines clearly to stakeholders and leadership.
Quality & Process Improvement
Champion process improvements, automation, and reuse of components to increase efficiency and platform consistency.
Ensure high-quality, reliable, and secure technical solutions are delivered.
Participate in defect triage and drive timely resolution of issues.
Compliance & Platform Governance
Ensure compliance with audit, control, and data governance processes during configuration and delivery.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development & Design and in lieu of degree 4 to 6 years of work experience.
1+ years of experience working on SAI360 BWise or any other similar GRC platform like MetricStream/Archer/ServiceNow
2+ years of SQL and GRC experience
1+ year of exp in Java / VUE Javascript
Strong written/oral communication skills
Problem solver with ability to promote collaborative problem solving
Any GRC Application experience preferred SAI360 (formerly known as BWise)
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
Previous experience in application configuration
Previous experience with risk management application
Agile Process knowledge
Knowledge on GraphQL
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree with 2 to 4 Years of work experience in Governance, Risk & Compliance Solution Development & Design and in lieu of degree 4 to 6 years of work experience.
1+ years of experience working on SAI360 BWise or any other similar GRC platform like MetricStream/Archer/ServiceNow
2+ years of SQL and GRC experience
1+ year of exp in Java / VUE Javascript
Work Timings:
This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
