This role is designed to assume end-to-end execution responsibility for priorities led by the Vice President. The Management Trainee will be systematically trained to manage the same operating levers handled by the VPbusiness reviews, cross-functional initiatives, partner coordination, people follow-through, and overall operating cadencethereby enabling the VP to focus on new business development and strategic growth initiatives .
This is a high-ownership operating role , not a coordination, analytics-only, or presentation-driven position. Performance will be assessed strictly on the ability to drive progress, close actions, and deliver measurable outcomes .
- Translate VP-level strategic priorities into clear action plans with defined ownership and timelines
- Plan and run weekly and monthly business reviews end-to-end
- Track key performance indicators, execution slippages, and corrective actions with rigor
- Escalate issues only after developing and proposing viable solutions
- Review sales performance across regions, channels, and business partners
- Drive disciplined follow-ups on targets, distributor productivity, and incentive mechanisms
- Ensure consistency and rigor in sales review processes, including data timeliness, action closure, and outcome tracking
- Convert marketing strategy into executable field-level actions
- Track campaign performance, ROI, and quality of on-ground execution
- Ensure alignment between marketing objectives and sales realities
- Own cross-functional initiatives such as product launches, pilots, and improvement programs
- Coordinate inputs across sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams
- Track initiative milestones, decisions, and delivery against committed timelines
- Support manpower planning, role clarity, and performance tracking in partnership with HR
- Ensure KRAs, goals, and performance outcomes are reviewed and acted upon
- Drive follow-through on people-related actions without repeated escalation
- Support customer and business partner engagements from discussion through execution
- Coordinate commercial terms, contracts, and compliance with internal and external legal teams
- Track obligations, approvals, and closures to completion
Within six months , the Management Trainee is expected to:
- Independently run business and sales review forums
- Own multiple cross-functional initiatives end-to-end
- Act as the single point of execution and follow-through for VP-led priorities
- Materially reduce the VPs involvement in day-to-day operational execution
- MBA from a premier Indian business school
- 14 years of work experience in consulting, leadership programs, startups, or other high-ownership roles
- Demonstrated ability to execute with discipline, not merely analyze
- Comfort working directly with senior leadership in high-accountability environments
