Job Description
Role Overview
We are seeking highly motivated finance professionals with strong experience in Accounting, FSCP, Management Information Systems (MIS), and Audit liaisoning to support our clients in Bengaluru. The role involves end-to-end month-end closing, preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and MIS reporting, along with front-end client communication, query handling, and business insights delivery.
This position requires a mix of technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and client-facing communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Finance/MIS Controllership
- Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including sales, inventory cut off.
- Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and clearing accounts review, suspense account clearance.
- Perform Trial balance review, trend variance analysis and relational analytics of GL items.
- Ensure timely and accurate trial balance finalization.
- Liaise with internal teams and client stakeholders to resolve closing issues.
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in line with Ind AS and India GAAP
- Support auditors with required reconciliations, schedules, and explanations.
2. MIS Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and deliver MIS reports for clients.
- Provide business insights on revenue, margins, costs, working capital, and cash flow.
- Simplify and present MIS for different stakeholders (Operations & Senior Management).
- Continuously improve MIS reporting processes to make them efficient, automated, and decision-oriented.
3. Audit Liasoning
- Providing data and process understanding to the auditors
- Resolving audit queries on timely basis
- Support in timely and effective completion of Internal audits, Statutory Audits, Tax Audits.
4. Client Communication & Liaison
- Act as the front-end contact point for assigned clients.
- Conduct regular calls, meetings, and status updates with client stakeholders.
- Understand client requirements, manage expectations, and provide timely responses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional client teams (Operations, Finance, Audit).
- Provide value-added insights and recommendations beyond routine reporting.
5. Process Improvement & Governance
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and control enhancement.
- Support implementation of best practices in FSCP and MIS reporting.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, FSCP, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MIS preparation, variance analysis, and management dashboards.
- Hands-on expertise in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, dashboards); exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving approach.
- Strong communication and client-handling skills ability to liaise with CXO-level stakeholders.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with strong attention to detail and ownership mindset.
