Managed File Transfer (MFT) Specialist – Axway

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Managed File Transfer (MFT) Specialist to join our team. The

ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Axway MFT Suite, including B2Bi and Sentinel, and

will be responsible for administration, monitoring, and supporting secure file transfer solutions.

This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability

to work in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration and Support

o Administration and Support MFT platform using Axway B2Bi and Sentinel to

meet business requirements.

o Maintained and configure secure file transfer workflows, mappings, and

integrations between trading partners and internal systems.

o Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations in all MFT

solutions.

• Monitoring and Maintenance

o Proactively monitor MFT systems and workflows using Axway Sentinel to ensure

uptime and reliability.

o Troubleshoot and resolve file transfer issues, providing root cause analysis and

permanent fixes.

o Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and backups.

• Collaboration and Support

o Work closely with business partners, IT teams, and external trading partners to

understand and meet MFT requirements.

o Provide ongoing support for existing MFT processes, including documentation

and knowledge sharing.

o Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Axway MFT products and related

technologies.

• Optimization and Innovation

o Identify opportunities to optimize file transfer processes for efficiency and

scalability.

o Stay current with Axway product updates, industry trends, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Technical Skills

o Hands-on experience with Axway B2Bi, Axway Sentinel, and related Axway

MFT solutions.

o Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols, including FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTP/S,

and others.

o Experience with EDI standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12) and XML file

processing.

o Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell) for automation and

troubleshooting.

o Knowledge of IT security principles, including encryption, authentication, and

firewalls.

Experience

o 5+ years of experience in administrating and supporting MFT solutions,

specifically with Axway products.

o Proven ability to manage trading partner onboarding and file flow lifecycle.

o Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting with Axway Sentinel.

Soft Skills

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with crossfunctional teams.

o Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Axway certifications in MFT/B2Bi/Sentinel.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid MFT deployments.

Experience with other MFT tools and solutions is a plus.
