Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
- Plan, organize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for campus buildings and facilities
- Ensure timely repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systems
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
Staff Supervision
- Supervise maintenance staff, technicians, and contractors
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance
- Ensure staff comply with safety and operational standards
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and maintenance needs
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues (power failures, water leaks, etc.)
Budget and Resources
- Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
- Approve maintenance-related purchases within authorized limits
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate maintenance activities with academic departments and residential services
- Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Respond to maintenance requests and complaints in a timely manner
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment servicing
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities and facility conditions
- Recommend upgrades, renovations, or system replacements when needed
