Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

• Plan, organize, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for campus buildings and facilities
• Ensure timely repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systems
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures

Staff Supervision

• Supervise maintenance staff, technicians, and contractors
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and guidance
• Ensure staff comply with safety and operational standards

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and maintenance needs
• Respond to emergency maintenance issues (power failures, water leaks, etc.)

Budget and Resources

• Assist in preparing and managing the maintenance budget
• Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
• Approve maintenance-related purchases within authorized limits

Coordination and Communication

• Coordinate maintenance activities with academic departments and residential services
• Liaise with external vendors, contractors, and service providers
• Respond to maintenance requests and complaints in a timely manner

Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain records of maintenance work, inspections, and equipment servicing
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities and facility conditions
• Recommend upgrades, renovations, or system replacements when needed
