Must Haves:

Fair understanding of IBM IMS DB/DC (IMS Transaction Manager) environments. Experience with Message formatting service for screen definition in online applications. Knowledge on DL/I, BMP calls for interfacing with IMS Databases. Fair knowledge on IMSGEN process, Modblocks, DDL & IMS type 2 commands Create, modify, and maintain IMS database descriptions (DBDs), PSBGEN, ACBGEN and DBDGEN process. Perform database image copy, reorganizations and recoveries. Monitor and optimize IMS database performance. Manage DBRC (Database Recovery Control) including RECONS and forward recoveries. Lead Install, configure & upgrade IBM IMS sub systems and related vendor software (ISV) products using tools like SMP/E. Work with security IMS security interface (like RACF) to implement access controls. Troubleshooting and problem resolution: Use specialized tools to debug system software problems. Analise System dump. Provide High level support (L3) for complex problems and High priority incidents. Automate operational tasks using REXX.
