Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mainframe Developer, located in Chennai. The Mainframe Developer will be responsible for maintaining mainframe-based applications. Key responsibilities include analyzing support issues , troubleshooting existing systems, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives. The role also involves implementing strong documentation practices to support maintenance and updates.

Qualifications

• Expertise in programming languages such as COBOL, JCL, and Assembler
• Proficiency in database and file systems like DB2, VSAM, and IMS
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills for mainframe systems
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and mainframe tools including CICS and TSO
• Experience with system testing, quality assurance, and creating technical documentation
• Team collaboration and effective communication skills
• Relevant certifications in mainframe development are a plus
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
