Job Title: Magento Developer (Frontend + Backend Support)

Reporting to: Tech Lead

About the Role

Were looking for a Magento Developer who can own our frontend development and assist with backend customizations as needed.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their Magento skills across both the frontend and backend while working with an experienced technical lead and a growing digital commerce business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Magento 2 frontend components using Knockout.js, LESS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (on existing LUMA theme)
• Assist in implementing UI/UX improvements , ensuring responsive and performant design.
• Support theme customization and prepare for possible future migration to Hyv or other modern frontend frameworks.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs, manage templates, and ensure smooth data flow.
• Help troubleshoot frontend and backend issues, perform debugging, and assist in deployment tasks.
• Follow Magento 2 coding standards and best practices.
• Work closely with the lead developer on feature releases, bug fixes, and system optimizations.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in Magento 2 development (Adobe Cloud Commerce).
• Strong understanding of Magento frontend stack - Knockout.js, Require.js, LESS, XML layout updates, and PHTML templates.
• Familiarity with Magento backend concepts - module development, events/observers, dependency injection, etc.
• Good knowledge of MySQL , Git , and basic CLI operations .
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and Magento admin configurations .
• Ability to debug and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to modern Magento frontends like Hyv .

Nice to Have

• Exposure to React/Vue.js or modern JS frameworks.
• Experience working with Adobe Commerce Cloud environments.
• Familiarity with Agile workflows , Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
