Job Description

We are seeking resilient, self-motivated, and experienced M&A professionals to join our team as an M&A Deal Lead in India. You will take a pivotal, hands-on role in managing the full M&A lifecyclefrom origination and bid preparation through due diligence and closing. While post-merger integration is not the primary focus, you will be closely involved in pre-closing integration planning.


The ideal candidate is a dedicated M&A professional with experience in investment banking and/or

corporate development within the tech services industry, ideally with a significant track record of closing deals on the buy-side. This role requires working very closely with the CCO and other global executives based in the US.


Location: India, remote (preferred home base: Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Mumbai, Delhi areas)


Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing: Assist the CCO in actively identifying and evaluating potential targets. Manage pipeline reporting and facilitate pipeline discussions with CXO leadership by preparing materials to review deals in the pipeline. Manage timely communication with sellers, bankers, and advisors to augment the acquisition pipeline.
  • Deal Execution: Proactively manage and support all aspects of the transaction process, including financial analysis, valuation, and diligence. Provide analysis to assist CCO in negotiating and structuring deals. Build financial models (forecast P&L, DCF, IRR, synergy analysis) and prepare impactful PowerPoint decks for executive and board-level reviews.
  • Project Management: Orchestrate the end-to-end due diligence process, acting as the central liaison between internal teams, external advisors, and sellers, driving everyone towards closure. Exhibit foresight by anticipating and mitigating obstacles to ensure a smooth process.
  • M&A Operational Excellence: Maintain a database of precedent transactions and continuously refine the Corporate Development team's processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Prepare and Present Deal Artifacts: Prepare impactful PowerPoint decks and Excel financial models to prepare financial, strategic and business plan for the deal and be able to present them to the executives.



Qualifications

  • Experience: 4-6 years investment banking or corp dev teams with IT / IT-enabled services experience. Big 4 financial DD professionals with similar experience can also be considered.
  • Track Record: A proven history of executing M&A transactions, with a strong preference for buy-side experience and multiple closed deals.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the IT services or a related technology industry is strongly preferred.
  • Education: MBA from a top-tier institution, Chartered Accountant (CA), or an equivalent advanced degree.
  • Tools: Fluent in Excel (modeling) and Powerpoint (storytelling)
