About the Role

We are looking for a skilled professional to support the Global Logistics Director in managing end-to-end logistics bid processes (RFPs/RFQs), vendor coordination, commercial evaluation, and global stakeholder alignment. This role will also handle PO creation and procurement operations for the India Business Unit.

Roles & Responsibilities

Bid Management & Execution

  • Lead and manage end-to-end logistics bid cycles including planning, launch, timeline tracking, and submission management.
  • Coordinate with logistics service providers to ensure timely and compliant bid submissions.
  • Act as the primary vendor contact for clarifications and requirement adherence.
  • Ensure governance, confidentiality, and compliance with procurement policies.

Bid Analysis & Commercial Evaluation

  • Conduct detailed commercial and cost analyses including rate benchmarking, cost structures, surcharges, and TCO.
  • Prepare comparison sheets, scenarios, and data-backed recommendations.
  • Identify risks and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support negotiation discussions with analytical insights.

Stakeholder Coordination & Global Support

  • Liaise with global, regional, and local teams across multiple functions.
  • Align country-specific requirements with global sourcing strategies.
  • Track decisions, follow-ups, and action items.

Procurement Operations & PO Management (India BU)

  • Manage PO creation, updates, and releases.
  • Ensure correct commercial terms and contracted rate mapping.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to resolve PO or invoice-related issues.

Systems, Documentation & Governance

  • Maintain procurement documentation, commercial data, and savings trackers.
  • Update pricing, contracts, and bid-related records.
  • Support internal audits and governance reviews.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of logistics procurement.
  • High proficiency in bid analysis and cost modeling.
  • Strong stakeholder management across geographies.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids with attention to detail.
  • Experience in global, matrixed environments.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience preferred.

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 610 years of experience in logistics procurement, sourcing, or bid management.
  • Experience working with MNCs in similar industries (Logistics/Consulting/Sourcing) preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong learning mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
