Logistics Cost Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Cost Analyst to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone passionate about data accuracy, cost analytics, and operational efficiency in logistics. You will work closely with technical teams and customers to ensure tariff management, cost validation, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

• Tariff Management

oReceive approved tariffs and convert them into system compatible formats.

oUpload and manage tariffs on a yearly, monthly, and weekly basis.

• Operational Logic

oAlign and maintain operational logic as per customer agreements.

oPrepare calculations based on sample data and collaborate with technical teams for implementation.

oTest technical developments against manual calculations and confirm system readiness to customers.

• Data Accuracy & speed of execution

oMonitor daily data for inaccuracies and maintain error logs.

oShare error reports with customers weekly or monthly based on severity.

oIdentify and escalate issues related to system performance.

oWork with technical teams to eliminate manual processes.

• Invoice Validation

oDownload invoices from vendor portals and validate them.

oManage discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and customers, maintaining status updates

oReport weekly/monthly on partially verified tariffs and associated cost metrics.

oEncourage customers to improve verification using actual operational data.

• Cost Analytics

oCommunicate cost trends, exceptional cost changes, and savings opportunities via presentations and emails.

oRun simulations for logistics cost procurement and operational improvements as requested by customers.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, mathematics, statistics or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Basic knowledge of logistics operations and cost structures.
• Exposure to ERP or logistics management systems.
