About U-Turn4Nature FoundationU-Turn4Nature Foundation (Supported by DNR Foundation) is a rural livelihood and women-entrepreneurship initiative working at the village level. We facilitate the setup of agro-based, home-style food processing units with rural women, SHGs, and cooperatives. Products are freshly prepared by women and delivered directly to households.
The Foundation acts as a facilitator , focusing on:
- Employment generation for rural women
- Women-led micro-enterprises
- Safe, homemade food production
- Strengthening village-level economic ecosystems
Volunteers are also welcome. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to work closely with rural women and support their journey towards entrepreneurship.
Position: Livelihood Coordinator / Livelihood SpecialistU-Turn4Nature Foundation is seeking a Livelihood Coordinator / Specialist to support a women-focused livelihoods project. The role involves working with rural women already supported by Government programs and NGOs, helping them transition into sustainable income-generating enterprises .
Key Responsibilities- Strong understanding of Women SHGs and Cooperatives
- Provide technical guidance and support across livelihood activities, including planning, implementation, budgeting, and reporting
- Conduct hands-on training in pickles, snacks, cookies, sweets, millet-based products, jams , etc.
- (No preservatives or chemicals; focus on hygiene, quality, and safe storage)
- Support end-to-end enterprise processes from production to storage
- Develop and apply livelihood assessment tools
- Strengthen Village Economic Groups and Savings & Loan practices
- Build capacity of women entrepreneurs, field teams, and partners
- Develop basic standards, systems, and SOPs for rural enterprises
- Coordinate with NGOs and Government departments to ensure convergence and avoid duplication
- Minimum 2 years experience in livelihood or women-enterprise development projects
- Experience working with SHGs, cooperatives, or vulnerable rural communities (preferably North India)
- Strong field orientation with resilience and learning mindset
- Ability to coordinate with Government, NGOs, and community institutions
- Experience in project management and reporting
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to travel within project areas
