Linux System Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Linux System Administrator to join our low-latency trading infrastructure team. In this role, you will manage and optimize Linux-based systems powering real-time trading environments where performance, uptime, and precision are critical.

What will you do

• Manage and maintain large-scale, high-performance Linux server environments (Red Hat/CentOS/Ubuntu).
• Maintain configuration management, patching, and security hardening.
• Tune kernel parameters for low latency and high throughput.
• Implement system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix,) and perform regular health checks and ensure 24/7 system uptime.
• Diagnose and resolve system, hardware, and software issues and provide Level 2/3 support for infrastructure incidents.
• Automate repetitive tasks using Bash, shell or Python.
• Configure interfaces, firewalls (iptables/ nftables), and routing.
• Collaborate with quality engineers, developers, and traders to ensure optimal infrastructure performance.

What will you bring

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Ability to analyze system performance and troubleshoot issues in a complex, multi-system environment.
• Expert-level experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) in a production, performance-critical environment
• Deep knowledge of kernel tuning, process scheduling, CPU/memory/network stack optimization.
• Experience in scripting (Bash, Python, or Bash) and automation tools (Ansible)
• Strong troubleshooting skills across OS, hardware, and network layers
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Nagios, Zabbix etc.
• Prior experience in financial services, trading, or HFT environments will be a big plus.
