Job Title: Linux System Administrator

Relevant Experience: 3 to 8 Years

Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore & Pune

Shifts: (Rotational Shifts)

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners

Key Skills:

Linux Server Administration, Server Installation/Maintenance, LVM, DNS, SUSE, Pacemaker, Patch Management, Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), ITIL, Monitoring, Troubleshooting, 3rd-level Support, Storage Operations, Automation basics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 3rd-level technical support in line with customer SLAs
• Perform server installation, maintenance, monitoring, and decommissioning (physical & VMs)
• Handle daily compute operations: Events, Incidents, SR, CR, RCA following ITIL practices
• Manage patching (zypper / automation tools) and troubleshoot patch-related issues
• Configure and administer DNS, SAMBA, CIFS, FTP, AUTOFS, user/permission management
• Work on SUSE Linux , including installation, upgrades, and patching
• Troubleshoot Pacemaker cluster issues
• Manage LVM (extension, resizing, maintenance)
• Resolve GRUB bootloader issues
• Assist L2 teams during upgrades/patch activities
• Participate in On-Call support , including weekends/holidays if required
• Create documentation , perform testing, and support knowledge transfer
• Suggest and implement automation for repetitive tasks
• Provide support in storage operations (NetApp NFS), package/repository management, OS image maintenance
• Optional: knowledge of hypervisors (XEN/VMware) , GitHub, Jira, ELK, Prometheus, firewalls (IPTables)

Required Skills & Experience:

• 48 years of Linux Server Administration experience
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux OS operations
• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP (at least one cloud)
• Understanding of ITIL processes
• Good communication skills
• Bachelors or Masters degree
