Skills (Must have):

1. Linux Administration:

Hands-on experience managing and

troubleshooting large-scale, highly available Linux

systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).

2. Issue Troubleshooting:

Strong ability to diagnose and resolve complex

Linux-related system and application issues.

3. Automation & Scripting:

Proficient with shell scripting and at least one

automation tool (Ansible or Puppet).

4. Cloud Platforms:

Good working knowledge of AWS and Azure

services, administration, and basic troubleshooting.

5. Virtualization & Migrations:

Experience with virtualization technologies and

P2V, V2V, and P2P migrations.

6. Remote Access & File Sharing:

Understanding of secure remote access using

VPN/VNC, and file-sharing protocols (NFS, Samba).

7. Authentication & Access Management:

Good knowledge of LDAP, FreeIPA, and user/group

management in enterprise environments.

8. Documentation & Task Tracking:

Experience with Confluence and Jira for

maintaining documentation and tracking

tasks/incidents.

9. Problem Solving & Decision Making:

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make

sound decisions in high-pressure, fast-paced

environments.

10. Communication & Collaboration:

Strong verbal and written communication skills;

able to work independently and as part of a team.

11. Prioritization & Multitasking:

Ability to handle multiple workstreams, manage

conflicting priorities, and adapt to changing

demands.

Skills (Optional):

EDA Tool Support:

Electronic Design Automation

(EDA) tools such as Cadence and Synopsys

(CoreConsultant, DVE, Verdi).

Cloud administration knowledge.

Work Description/ Responsibilities:

1. Infrastructure Support

a. Complete Linux OS administration, Troubleshooting &

Maintenance

b. Storage (SAN/NAS/DAS/Cloud Storage) administration

and provisioning

c. Server provisioning and administration

d. Backup administration (Monitoring/Backup/Restoration)

e. Patch Administration

f. Server-side Vulnerability management.

2. Responsible for managing level 1 Linux engineers

3. Responsible for understanding customer

requirement, solutioning, preparing BoM, drafting

activity plan and owning technical project

execution until closure.

4. Be an ultimate point of escalation for all Linux

related issues.

5. To provide a 3rd line on-call support for the Linux

and to the 24/7 team as required

6. Sharing monthly report to the manager on overall

team health status.
