Must-Have

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of Hands-on operating system such as Linux, Unix
• Knowledge of overall Server management, Performance Tunning & Shell scripting.

Good-to-Have

Knowledge of Bank Domain, Server management, OS RHEL, Storage, Network configuration

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Install and maintain servers, as well as manage server performance and availability.

User administration Managing users accounts, permission, and access to resources

Strong knowledge on LVM concept on RHEL.

Help troubleshoot problems with Linux servers, running various versions of Linux, including Red Hat

Engage in continuous testing of new Linux versions and applications on an on-demand basis.

Maintain server uptime and network performance.

Monitor daily systems, evaluate the availability of all server resources, and carry out all Linux server tasks.

Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.

Creating and maintaining Shell scripting to automate the repetitive tasks and system processes.

Hands-on on Ansible.

Updates and patch management Applying updates, patches and security fixes to keep the system up-to-date and secure.

Configuring and troubleshooting network settings, ensuring connectivity, and managing firewalls.

Monitoring system performance, identifying issues and implementing solutions for Optimal performance.

Performing security hardening on Operating systems.

Implementing Backup and Recovery strategies and ensuring data recovery mechanism

Ensuring systems comply with relevant regulations and security standards.

Strong knowledge on solving vulnerability assessments for secure systems.

Experience on VMWare to manage the Linux servers.

Requirement and skills

1. Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills for RHEL related issues.

2. Relevant certifications in RHEL can be advantageous

3. Communications skills are also essential.

4. Good documentation skills to maintain accurate and up-to-date system documentation.
