Librarian

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic School Librarian to join our IB/Cambridge school. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a love for reading, supporting inquiry-based learning, and managing a modern, student-centred library.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and curate a diverse and age-appropriate library collection.
• Support students and teachers with research, referencing, and resource selection for IB and Cambridge programmes.
• Integrate information literacy skills into classroom learning.
• Oversee digital library platforms, subscriptions, and databases.
• Organise reading programmes, literary events, and student engagement activities.
• Maintain efficient library operations, cataloguing, and circulation systems.
• Collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum delivery through library resources.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Library Science (B.LISc / M.LISc) or equivalent.
• Formal training in library management and information systems.
• Certification or additional qualifications related to IB/Cambridge programmes (preferred).

Experience

• Minimum 35 years of experience as a librarian in an IB and/or Cambridge school.
• Strong familiarity with IB PYP/MYP/DP and Cambridge Primary/Secondary resource needs.
• Experience managing digital databases, e-resources, and library management software.
• Proven ability to run student literacy programmes and support inquiry-based learning.
