Job Description

We are hiring a Legal Manager for a leading Waste Management Company , responsible for handling legal matters related to government liaising, corporate compliance, contracts, and regulatory frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaising with Government Authorities , Municipal Corporations, Pollution Control Boards, and related departments
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, tenders, MOUs, and SLAs
• Understanding and interpreting government tenders, clauses, terms & conditions , and statutory requirements
• Handling legal notices , replies, show-cause notices, and court-related documentation
• Ensuring compliance with Corporate Laws , Environmental Laws, Labour Laws, and other applicable regulations
• Managing legal documentation related to waste management operations and projects
• Coordinating with external law firms, advocates, and consultants
• Advising management on legal risks, disputes, and compliance matters
• Dealing with corporate clients and resolving contractual/legal issues
• Maintaining records of licenses, approvals, permits, and renewals

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Corporate Law, Contract Law, and Regulatory Compliance
• Experience in government liaising and handling statutory authorities
• Excellent drafting and documentation skills
• Ability to interpret complex legal clauses and contracts
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Marathi (spoken & written); Hindi & English preferred

Qualification:

• LLB / LLM from a recognized university
• Relevant experience in Waste Management, Infrastructure, EPC, Environmental Services, or Government Projects preferred

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 610 years of hands-on legal experience
• Exposure to municipal/government contracts
• Based in or willing to work from Thane
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
