Non-litigation

Negotiating, drafting and managing agreements pertaining to licensing/acquisition of content/distribution of content
Advising the Company on employment contracts
Develop processes, templates, and approval parameters for agreements and contracts for the Company
Drafting of event management agreement/sponsorship/promotion agreements
Oversee due diligence for acquisition and lease of properties
Drafting and vetting of Agreements Non-disclosure agreements, Artist agreement & Corporate guarantees
Protection of the Intellectual Property and advising the Company on issues relating to Copyright
Interacting with Music/film /Entertainment industry associations.

Litigation

Handling all civil and criminal matters including dishonor of cheques
Preparing various kind of pleadings Affidavits, Court proceedings Infringement Notices etc.
Liasioning and meeting external counsels in connection with the Companys litigation
Interface / preparing paperwork / documentation on any litigation in court
Representing the company before all courts, tribunals like Copyright Board and regulatory authorities
Preferable experience in Intellectual property litigation (trademarks/ Copyrights)
Attending Magistrates Court for various cheque bounce matters, give evidence on behalf of Company etc.
Attend Arbitration Proceedings on behalf of Company including drafting of pleadings contained therein

Other Skills Required

2-4 yrs of experience
Extensive knowledge of Contract, Commercial and IPR Laws,
Excellent drafting skills.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Expertise in research.
Excellent Communication skills.
Ability to brief external Attorneys and Counsels.
Ability to interact well with large teams and senior management.
Previous experience in media and entertainment will be an added advantage.
Extensive exposure to Courts/Tribunals in India.
Good knowledge of Intellectual Property laws, particularly, Copyrights and Trademark laws
Experience in handling money recovery matters, cheque bounce matters and basic knowledge of litigation process in magistrate courts.
