Legal Counsel-Data Privacy

About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel with strong expertise in GDPR and data privacy laws , along with a solid grounding in general corporate legal matters. This is a newly created role that will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, provide strategic legal guidance, and support day-to-day legal operations.

PQE: 5-6 Years

Location: Delhi

Key Responsibilities

Data Privacy & GDPR

• Advise on GDPR, Indian data protection laws (DPDP Act), and global privacy frameworks.
• Draft, review, and negotiate data processing agreements (DPAs), privacy notices, consent language, and related documentation.
• Lead compliance initiatives including data-mapping, policy creation, impact assessments, and training.
• Monitor regulatory developments and guide business teams on privacy risks and best practices.

General Legal

• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts (service agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, partnership agreements, etc.).
• Provide legal support across corporate, operational, and compliance-related matters.
• Assist in the development of internal policies, SOPs, and governance frameworks.
• Support dispute management, including coordination with external counsel when required.
• Ensure legal risk mitigation across business initiatives.
