Legal & Compliance Specialist

Legal Support

·       Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, NDAs, and other legal documents with external stakeholders, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s interests and legal requirements.

·       Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, including labor laws, corporate governance, and industry-specific regulations for education and training.

·       Legal Risk Mitigation: Advise and assist in identifying and managing legal risks associated with business operations, especially with regard to course offerings, partnerships, and data privacy.

·       Dispute Management: Provide support in resolving disputes or legal issues related to vendors, partners, and clients, coordinating with external counsel as necessary.

Marketing Communications Compliance

·       Review Marketing Materials: Ensure that all marketing communications—digital campaigns, promotional materials, advertisements, and branding—are legally compliant and meet regulatory standards (e.g., ASCI guidelines, data protection laws).

·       Compliance with Advertising Standards: Review all promotional content to ensure it does not contain misleading claims and complies with advertising and marketing laws, especially in the edtech sector.

·       Intellectual Property: Verify that all marketing materials adhere to copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws, ensuring the protection of NSE Academy’s brand.

·       Approval of Marketing Collateral: Vet marketing collateral for legal disclaimers, terms and conditions, and other necessary legal language, ensuring accurate and compliant messaging.

·       Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work closely with the marketing and communications team to ensure that all external communications comply with company policies and regulatory requirements while supporting creative and marketing goals.

Compliance Management

·       Statutory Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including labor law compliance, GST filings, and corporate filings.

·       Regulatory Filings: Prepare and submit necessary regulatory filings related to company operations and legal matters (e.g., ROC filings, certifications).

·       Internal Policies: Assist in the development and implementation of internal policies to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, reviewing these policies periodically to reflect regulatory changes.

Training & Awareness

·       Compliance Training: Organize and assist in training sessions for staff to raise awareness on compliance matters and legal responsibilities, particularly in relation to marketing and external communications.

·       Legal Updates: Keep internal teams informed of any changes to relevant laws or regulations, ensuring that the organization remains up to date with legal requirements.
