Mainframe Modernization Sr Architect / Architect (Solution) - PAN INDIA Opening
Key Responsibilities:
• This role will need expertise to drive solutions and customizing them for client context along with the long-term transformation roadmap in RFP, Proactive pursuits and other Customer requests related to Mainframe modernization
• Create Solution document (word / ppt) along with effort and duration estimates
• This role would also require to interface and collaborate with SLS, CRM, BD, GSA, Delivery team and Solution team from other Service Lines in pursuits
• Understanding of standard estimation methodologies for Application Development projects.

Required Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience:
• Mainframe Technologies: (10- 15 years)
o Expertise in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler.
o Deep understanding of mainframe environments (z/OS, IMS, CICS, TSO, JCL).
o Expertise with mainframe databases (e.g., DB2, IMS DB) and modern databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Good to Have Capabilities/Skills
• Nice technologies :
o Experience in niche technologies such as ADSO/IDMS, NATURAL/ADABAS, IDEAL/DATACOM
• Modernization Tools and Techniques: (Microfocus, Astadia, Blue Age, Heirloom, TSRI – any of this )
o Knowledge of tools and methodologies for mainframe-to-cloud migrations.
o Familiarity with re-platforming, re-hosting, re-factoring and re-engineering legacy systems.
• Cloud Platforms:
o Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, especially those relevant for mainframe migration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• DevOps and Agile Methodologies :
o Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
o Understanding of Agile methodologies and their application in large-scale projects.
• Application Integration:
o Knowledge of integrating mainframe systems with modern applications and architectures.
o Knowledge about data migration processes and tools.
• Security and Compliance:
o Knowledge of security best practices for both mainframe and cloud environments.
o Understanding of compliance requirements relevant to mainframe data and applications.
• Performance Tuning and Optimization:
o Skills in optimizing mainframe performance and efficiently transitioning to modern platforms.

o An understanding of all the domains and high level capabilities
