As a Associate in the UK Legal Entity Stats team, you will be responsible for preparing/reviewing UK GAAP financial statements for all UK LE’s.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage financial reporting deliverables, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of LE accounts in accordance with IFRS.
  • Work closely with PwC auditors to resolve issues and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare board reports and present them to the Board of Directors and senior management. Prepare and present clear and concise status updates to senior management.
  • Support technical UK GAAP/IFRS accounting analyses, including accounting memos and templates. Support various projects and initiatives impacting the legal entity, including product, infrastructure, regulatory, compliance, and other business-driven initiatives.
  • Ensure accounting and reporting controls are maintained and actively work to improve them.
  • Contribute to the re-engineering and standardization of processes.
  • Develop operating models and policy frameworks with a focus on specific control enhancement areas.
  • Participate in and drive ongoing legal entity strategy and simplification initiatives.
  • Support the team in establishing key priorities, enhancing team knowledge, and building resiliency through required training and development.
  • Maintain key stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally, including auditors, Corporate Accounting Policy team, Tax, Regional LEC, and Corporate Secretarial. Prepare and review XBRL for all entities.
  • Manage and support the 10K audit for Nostro, expenses, etc. Support business units in adapting the entity’s ledgers and system requirements to specific business initiatives. Coordinate all legal entity activity with key internal experts such as tax, legal, etc.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Successful candidate should have a technical accounting foundation and knowledge of audit procedures
  • Committed, conscientious & self-motivated individual who can demonstrate initiative, multi-tasking and problem-solving abilities
  • Logical and analytical skills with a control focus and regard for attention to detail
  • Strong appreciation for escalation and risk awareness
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work and manage a team to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality
  • Critical thinking required to challenge processes and suggest alternative approaches. Solve for ad hoc queries and recommend effective controls 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to deal with colleagues / stakeholders of all levels
  • Project Management capabilities

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with minimum 7 years of experience preferably from Accounting / Audit / Banking & finance function
  • Experience with Big 4 consultants preferred.
