Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and analytical Learning Experience Designer (LXD) with a strong technical background to design, develop, and manage engaging technical assessments, coding challenges, and competitive contests. The role focuses on creating high-quality evaluation experiences that accurately assess technical skills while keeping learners and participants motivated and challenged.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop technical assessments, coding tests, quizzes, and hands-on challenges across various technologies and skill levels.
2. Create and manage coding contests, hackathons, and skill-based competitions that promote learning, engagement, and fair evaluation.
3. Collaborate with engineering, product, and subject matter experts to ensure assessments align with real-world technical requirements.
4. Define assessment frameworks, difficulty levels, scoring logic, and evaluation criteria.
5. Ensure assessments are valid, reliable, unbiased, and scalable for large participant groups.
6. Develop clear problem statements, constraints, test cases, and solution explanations.
7. Analyze assessment and contest performance data to continuously improve quality and learner experience.
8. Incorporate gamification, adaptive learning techniques, and best UX practices into assessment design.
9. Maintain and update assessment content to stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards.
10. Ensure academic integrity and implement measures to prevent plagiarism and unfair practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Education Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and system design basics.
Experience designing technical assessments, coding tests, or online competitions.
Familiarity with assessment platforms, LMS tools, or coding evaluation systems.
Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging technical problem statements.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and quality.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with online coding platforms, hackathons, or competitive programming ecosystems.
Knowledge of instructional design principles and learning science.
Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C++).
Understanding of automated grading systems and test case generation.
Experience using data insights to improve learning outcomes.
