What Youll Be Doing (Position Summary):
As a Learning Consultant, reporting to Director, Learning Advisory, youll research, recommend, and design content for a variety of learning and performance solutions. Youll also manage development activities for related projects aligned with all of CIBCs strategies and goals, aiming to enhance employee capabilities and support a client-centric environment.
The Learning Consultant designs and develops learning experiences based on targeted learning outcomes.
To be successful in role, the Learning Consultant must have excellent instructional design, communication and writing skills, in addition to the ability to manage multiple deliverables and competing priorities. The Learning Consultant will work closely with clients, employees, vendors and other Talent Development team members.
Experience in designing content for adult learners in a variety of formats is critical this includes facility drafting e-learning storyboards for self-guided eLearning and writing facilitator guides for instructor-led sessions. It is expected that multi-media will be leveraged in learning solutions such as audio, video and animation. Proficiency in Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office is expected. Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro, Lectora, Vyond, and AI video creation tools are an asset.

How Youll Succeed (Responsibilities):
- Design a range of solutions using a variety of approaches to suit multiple learning styles and to achieve learning objectives towards measurable outcomes.
- Conduct needs assessments, gather and interpret data to identify performance gaps.
- Research and interpret relevant content in conjunction with Advisors and subject matter experts (SME) to make recommendations.
- Define measurable and achievable performance and learning objectives.
- Collaborate across functions to achieve understanding of the perceived needs or gaps, then decide on the appropriate training tools and methodologies such as e-learning, multimedia, virtual workshop, learning assets.
- Create recommendations including content highlights, key concepts, and multimedia ideas.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in an agile project environment where building prototypes and iterating according to feedback provided is part of the process.
- Deliver and implement quality learning on time and in adherence to Talent Developments Design Standards.
- Prepare for effective implementation of learning assets by following all protocols associated, including train the trainers, go and sees, and post-launch activities.
