Job Description:

The Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will partner with business functions to build organizational capability, drive competence development, and strengthen a culture of continuous learning. This role is central to designing and delivering impactful learning interventions aligned with The Amara Raja Way, the People Strategy, and the Talent Management Model. Collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to co-create learning content, implement training initiatives, and ensure outcomes are achieved in line with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Design & Implementation :

Curate and design technical/functional training programs in collaboration with SMEs.

Plan and implement learning calendars in partnership with internal and external trainers.

Drive organization-wide benchmarking exercises and design appropriate capability-building interventions.

Collaboration & Program Delivery :

Develop and maintain a systematic and regularly updated inventory of skills and competencies for all roles.

Ensure this inventory reflects evolving business requirements and role expectations.

Partner with business functions to design and drive competence and capability-building programs across the organization.

Proactively identify skill gaps and implement upskilling/reskilling initiatives to build future-ready talent.

Diagnostics & Insights :

Conduct organizational diagnostics through data analytics of key HR processes such as Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and Learning & Development.

Initiate interventions based on employee engagement surveys, benchmarking, and internal analytics to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Evaluation & Impact :

Establish scientific methods to evaluate the effectiveness of development initiatives.

Use metrics and analytics to measure learning impact, track progress, and enable continuous improvement.

Education

Full time MBA / PGDM from Tier I or Tier II institute.

Experience

12-14 years of hands-on experience in L&D function/ Content Creation/Training calendar/ training design/ training need analysis.

Should have experience of developing & anchoring functional and technical training programs.

Exposure to L&D Excellence Models, Competence mapping, Assessment Centers.

Exposure in managing entire L&D Process.

Preferred

  • L&D Certifications
  • Preferably from the Manufacturing sector / process industry
