CTC: Dependent upon skills, qualifications and years of experience
Required Skills and Experience:
Education: Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Masters preferred) Experience: 8+ years in software or quality engineering with deep expertise in automated and integration testing for distributed systems
Proven success leading quality efforts within Agile/Scrum squads
Demonstrated experience working within a regulated QMS (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820) and maintaining verification & validation documentation
Expert knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and DevOps tooling
Experience with cloud platforms and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
Handson practice in TDD and BDD
Demonstrated ability to define and present quality metrics to leadership
Technologies:
Jest, Playwright, Postman, Cypress, Jama for test plan, QMS (Quality management system experience)
Job Description:
As the Lead Test Engineer for a single product delivery squad, you are the handson quality owner. You personally design, execute, and automate functional, integration, and nonfunctional tests, ensuring every increment meets our Definition of Done and complies with our Quality Management System (QMS) before it reaches customers. Working sidebyside with product, design, and engineering, you embed quality practices from backlog refinement through release.
Responsibilities:
Iteration Planning: Evaluate upcoming backlog items for testability; define acceptance criteria; size QA effort; identify data & environment needs for the squad; assess any QMS documentation impacts
Story Grooming / Refinement: Clarify requirements, decompose into testable tasks, document edgecase scenarios & integration points, and draft updates to QMS artifacts (verification plans, protocols, traceability)
Sprint Planning: Commit test work to the sprint backlog; ensure automation tasks (unit, integration, UI) are included; create/update the Jama test plan for new functionality; generate test data; finalize QMS updates
Daily Scrum: Execute tests, track progress, surface risks, and coordinate defect triage
Sprint Review: Demonstrate test coverageincluding integration test resultsand provide releasereadiness assessments
Retrospective: Facilitate rootcause analysis of escaped defects and drive improvement actions
