Lead Test Automation engineer (SDET) based out of Pune, India

We move fast, innovate constantly, and care deeply about performance and reliability. As a Senior SDET , youll own the automation strategy that ensures every release is smooth, scalable, and rock-solidacross Java-based microservices and React Native applications.

Were looking for a hands-on Senior SDET Engineer who can design, implement, and scale automation frameworks that keep pace with rapid feature development. Youll collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams to embed quality into every layer of the product lifecycledriving test strategy for microservices, real-time APIs, and mobile app experiences.

• Design and develop end-to-end automation frameworks for Java backend services and React Native mobile apps .
• Build scalable, modular test systems to validate microapps, live data streams, and in-app contextual commerce features.
• Use tools such as JUnit/TestNG , Appium , Cypress , Detox , or RestAssured to automate API, UI, and integration tests.
• Implement mocking, stubbing, and contract testing (Pact, WireMock) for real-time API verification.

• Ensure high availability and accuracy of betting, content, and commerce features through automated regression and performance tests.
• Validate data integrity across microservices and streaming layers.
• Contribute to chaos testing , load testing , and real-user simulation scenarios for live events
• Partner with DevOps to automate test execution in Docker/Kubernetes environments and track test health through Grafana/Prometheus dashboards .
• Drive shift-left testing ensuring issues are caught early in the development cycle.

• Partner with backend and frontend engineers to define acceptance criteria and test strategies for rapid feature rollouts.
• Mentor junior QA and SDET engineers in framework design and best practices.
• Contribute to internal QA tools and libraries , supporting faster test authoring and improved observability.

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science , Software Engineering , or equivalent.
• 6+ years of experience as an SDET / Automation Engineer , ideally in startup or product-driven environments .
• Strong expertise in Java and automation tools such as JUnit , TestNG , and RestAssured .
• Proven experience automating React Native apps using Appium , Cypress , or Detox .
• Familiarity with microservices , contract testing , and API reliability validation .
• Understanding of real-time data systems (e.g., Kinesis, WebSockets) and event-driven architectures is a plus.
• Strong communication and debugging skills with a bias toward rapid delivery.

• Knowledge of TypeScript or Node.js testing frameworks.
• Background in sports analytics , fantasy platforms , or interactive media apps .
• Familiarity with AWS based services and device testing farms (BrowserStack, AWS Device Farm).
