Lead Software Test Infrastructure Engineer Embedded Systems (Automotive & LiDAR)

About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Test Infrastructure Engineer to architect and scale next-generation test automation platforms for embedded automotive systems powering LiDAR firmware, perception stacks, and real-time software pipelines.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end test infrastructure from framework design to compliance-driven quality strategy enabling rapid, reliable, and fully automated validation across hardware and software layers.
You will work at the intersection of embedded systems, automation, cloud tooling, and automotive safety standards, while mentoring a high-performing engineering team.
What Youll Do
Test Platform Architecture & Automation
- Design and build scalable Python & C++ automation frameworks for embedded device testing
- Enable end-to-end test coverage across firmware, perception algorithms, and system software
- Implement requirements-to-test-to-defect traceability matrices for compliance and audit readiness
- Drive automation across functional, regression, performance, and security test layers
Technical Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of test infrastructure and automation engineers
- Establish coding standards, best practices, and continuous improvement culture
- Own code quality through structured reviews and technical design sessions
Embedded & Automotive Validation
- Build validation pipelines using SIL, HIL, simulators, and physical testbeds
- Drive quality strategy for complex embedded Linux systems
- Partner with firmware, DSP, perception, and QA teams on test requirements
DevOps & CI/CD Excellence
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and modern tooling
- Leverage Docker/Kubernetes for scalable test execution
- Drive rapid feedback loops across development sprints
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, ASPICE standards
- Translate regulatory requirements into automated quality frameworks
What Were Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 812 years of experience testing embedded systems, ideally in automotive or safety-critical domains
- Expert proficiency in Python & C++ for automation frameworks
- Hands-on experience with:
- HIL/SIL environments and simulation platforms
- Embedded Linux, SSH, shell scripting, networking
- REST APIs, UI automation (Selenium/Playwright)
- Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
- Strong systems-level debugging and root cause analysis skills
- Ability to translate complex problems into executable sprint stories
Nice to Have
- Deep knowledge of automotive software stacks (ADAS, EV systems, infotainment)
- Experience with JAMA or equivalent requirements management tools
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience using JIRA, Bitbucket
- Exposure to large-scale distributed test infrastructure
