About Our Client Toorak Capital Partners

You will be part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Toorak Capital Partners, a leading U.S.-based integrated correspondent lending platform that funds residential, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate loans across the U.S. and U.K. Headquartered in Summit, New Jersey, Tooraks leadership team brings deep expertise across real estate lending, capital markets, securitization, asset management, and credit. To date, Toorak-funded projects have renovated or stabilized housing for 9,000+ families averaging 500+ families every month.This is a rare opportunity to build mission-critical, cloud-based mortgage technology platforms that directly support one of the most respected players in the global mortgage finance industry.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Frontend Engineer who is passionate about building modern, scalable, cloud-based web applications. In this role, you will lead frontend architecture and development initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with global product, UX, and backend engineering teams. If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, influencing UI/UX direction, and shipping high-quality enterprise products this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development for cloud-based web applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Architect and implement Micro Frontend solutions (mandatory)
• Collaborate closely with UX designers to translate prototypes into elegant, high-performance user experiences
• Maintain a strong design sensitivity while working closely with backend engineering teams
• Write clean, secure, scalable, and well-documented code
• Implement CI/CD and cloud deployment processes (Jenkins, GCP, CDNs)
• Establish best practices for performance, reusability, and maintainability
• Work cross-functionally with global stakeholders to deliver product milestones
• Leverage JavaScript frameworks and tooling for analytics & observability
• Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and industry standards
• Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of proven experience in frontend / web application development
• Expert-level proficiency in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Hands-on experience with Micro Frontend architecture (Must-Have)
• Strong experience with frontend frameworks, including Node.js & React.js
• Experience working in cloud-native environments (GCP preferred)
• Strong understanding of UX collaboration and responsive UI design
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience with Git and modern DevOps workflows
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in global teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
