Job Description
Job : Lead Snowflake engineer
YOE: 10 + Years
Location : Hyderabad
Required Skill Set
- 10+ years of relevant experience in data engineering
- Strong understanding of retail domain knowledge
- Deep expertise in Snowflake
- Strong background in Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, stored procedures, and scalable ingestion patterns
- Advanced SQL expertise, including complex transformations and handling semi-structured data (JSON, XML)
- Cloud integration experience across major platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Good to have experience on ETL tools like ADF
- Familiarity with Git-based version control, branching strategies, code reviews, and PR workflows
Key Responsibilities
- Lead migration of data assets and pipelines from legacy platforms to Snowflake while ensuring data quality, reliability, and business continuity
- Architect, build, and manage scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using modern best practices
- Define and enforce standards for Snowflake development, testing, and CI/CD-enabled deployments
- Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, DevOps, and business stakeholders
- Optimize performance and cost through effective warehouse sizing and usage strategies
- Drive technical quality initiatives including reviews, standards, and performance tuning
- Own technical deployment planning, cutover execution, and production stability
