Lead Simulation Engineer - Durability

We are looking for Lead Simulation Engineer- Durability,

Experience: 4-10 years

Location : Bangalore

JD:

1. Performs finite element analysis (FEA) on components, sub-systems, and vehicles
2. Conducts technical research and assesses simulation results
3. Prepares engineering reports (using excel, ppt. Etc.)
4. Provides technical recommendations
5. Excellent knowledge in HyperMesh, Abaqus, Ansys, Fe-Safe, ncode, ADVENTURECluster is preferred.

Must-Have**

• Experience in meshing & simulating components (automotive) for implicit or explicit conditions
• Experience in static, non-linear contact problems ,eigen and frequency response analysis
• Simulation debugging & knowledge of failure theories
• Should be able to interpret test requirements and replicate (& co-relate) the same into FE simulation
• Knowledge of optimization (Topology/Size) using Optistruct or Nastran is preferred
• Understanding model kinematics and its implementation into the FE Model
• Expertise in Fatigue calculations
• Knowledge of Creep & Thermo-mechanical simulations

Good-to-Have

Tractor/agricultural farming equipment and construction equipment application experience

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

1 Problem-solving: Ability to identify issues in simulations, troubleshoot convergence problems, and optimize model parameters.

2 Communication: Effectively collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to translate simulation results into practical design decisions.

3 Validation and Verification: Understanding the importance of validating simulation results against real-world test data.

4 Identifying potential issues within the tractor chassis and suggesting design modifications

5 Analyzing engine cooling system performance through FEA simulations

6 Durability engineer Oversees the lifecycle of products to ensure longevity and reliability, Conducts stress tests, and Analyzes products

7 Durability roles typically require a strong understanding of product design, materials science, and testing methodologies. They also require good communication skills.
