Job Description : In-depth (L3/L4) knowledge in all aspects of LINUX System Administration and best practices
Excellent troubleshooting skills on OS, LVM and related system issues
Hands-on experience on File systems, Partitioning, volume group related services.
Experience on Satellite/Foreman server.
Programming knowledge in Shell scripting & should have worked on automating daily tasks.
Should have worked on assessing and optimizing System Performance and Tuning
Familiarity with systems security aspects and implementation.
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring systems, ticketing systems, backup and SAN solutions.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Operations

Keep technical skills up to date and keep track of new technologies
Design automated solutions that will minimize the amount of hands-on activity needed to fix issues.
Implement or supervise high impact changes
Basic scripting skill and knowledge to discuss coding requirement with developers
Explore, analyse and identify the opportunity for business and service improvement
Perform an in-depth root cause analysis of all major and significant incidents
Take ownership and proactively resolve complex technical problems, ensuring technical solution continues to meet business needs
Analyse, understand, identify technical problems, and documenting the appropriate solution
Expert knowledge within your specialism
Awareness or knowledge of emerging technologies outside your specialism.
Understand the value of operational efficiency and how it saves cost and drives a positive customer experience.

Mandatory Technology Understanding

Exposure to other Unix-based OSes.
Knowledge of Network technologies, SAN/NAS/DAS technologies & Fiber switches.
Programming knowledge in Perl, Python or any other programming language.
Migration of application/data from one system to another and Technology Refresh.
Exposure to Disaster Recovery practices.
Exposure to Virtualization technologies (Xen, Vmware etc.)
Exposure to Cloud Technologies like AWS, Azure, GCP etc.
